![]() ![]() ![]() I can imagine that guest from all “walks of life” sit here in the evenings and enjoy sharing the stories of their day’s game drives or boat cruises. The public and dining areas are very comfortable and tastefully decorated which makes spending time at the bar a very intimate experience. Nicky and I really enjoyed the food at Bwana Tembo, as it is all about taste, and very tasty it was!Īfter lunch we had some time to wonder around the lodge and work on our rating sheet, but most importantly we focused on just enjoying and taking in everything this lovely little safari camp has to offer. As mentioned earlier, Davide and Francesco are Italian, so we were treated to homemade pastas and breads which were simply delicious. The tents are well equipped with tasteful furniture and an on-suite bathroom with a flush toilet, hand basin with cold and warm water as well as a very enjoyable hot shower.Īfter checking in and having a look around our safari tent, it was off to lunch. This ensures sufficient air flow around the tent and it really helps with keeping the safari tent cool and pleasant. Below your feet is a wooden deck and the roof of the structure is thatched. The safari tent we stayed in is slightly elevated off the ground. The lodge overlooks a valley that runs to the banks of the Albert Nile and the sunsets are truly spectacular! Walking to our safari tent we were taken aback by the magnificent views you get whilst staying here. We were amazed with how well everyone at the lodge worked together to get a safari tent ready for us and by the time we had finished our briefing, it was all done! We really have to compliment Francesco, Davide and the Bwana Tembo staff for saving our bacon and making this review possible! In the mad scramble with dates to make this trip happen, we somehow forgot to send our intended dates through to the owners. Upon arrival we were met by one of the very friendly staff members who immediately welcomed us and made us feel right at home! We do have a small confession at this point. The most popular “game drive” area of this magnificent park is without a doubt on the North bank and delta side where the “Victoria Nile” converges with Lake Albert to form the “Albert Nile” and continues North from there. Bwana Tembo Safari Camp is located just outside Murchison Falls National Park. ![]()
